It?s getting towards that time of the year when we start selecting the Best Of.
2012 was the first year in which we started focusing on videos, thanks in large part to Anne joining us in June.? A couple of our videos changed the national dialogue, if only for a moment.
Hopefully original video production will increase dramatically next year. That?s part of the plan.
I have selected several videos, some original to LI some taken from elsewhere but edited to highlight certain important newsworthy content.? Many, but not all, concerned Elizabeth Warren. (added) These are videos run at LI and which were created by LI. This is not an all-around Video of the Year type award.
They are all available on the LI YouTube channel.

PHOENIX (AP) ? Cody Ross and the Arizona Diamondbacks agreed to a $26 million, three-year contract Saturday that includes a club option for 2016.
Ross, who turns 32 on Sunday and lives in nearby Scottsdale, adds to the abundance of outfielders on the Arizona roster, leading to speculation a trade might be coming. Ross batted .267 with 22 home runs and 81 RBIs last season for the Boston Red Sox. He's a .267 career hitter in nine big league seasons with six teams.
"Could not be happier to be in the Dbacks family! Truly Blessed!" Ross posted on his Twitter account.
The addition gives the Diamondbacks four veteran outfielders ? Ross, Justin Upton, Gerardo Parra and Jason Kubel ? along with two youngsters the organization has deemed ready for the majors: Adam Eaton and A.J. Pollock.
That would indicate a trade could be in the works, with Kubel the center of that speculation. In his first season with Arizona last year, the left-handed slugger hit .253 with 30 home runs and 90 RBIs. He was hitting .300 on July 22 but batted .176 with 19 RBIs the rest of the season.
Ross, who throws left-handed and bats right-handed, was a fourth-round draft pick of Detroit out of Carlsbad, N.M., High School in 1999. He had brief major league stints with the Tigers, Los Angeles Dodgers and Cincinnati before becoming a full-time big leaguer with the Florida Marlins.
Ross was claimed by San Francisco off waivers in August 2010 and was MVP of that year's NL championship series, hitting .350 with three home runs and five RBIs against Philadelphia. He also homered against Texas in the World Series and batted .294 (15 for 51) with five homers, five doubles and 10 RBIs in 15 postseason games for the champion Giants.
He committed one error in each of the last two seasons.
The Diamondbacks also announced that infielder Gustavo Nunez cleared waivers and was returned to Detroit, opening a spot for Ross on the 40-man roster. Nunez was claimed off waivers from Pittsburgh in October after the Pirates selected him from the Tigers in the 2011 Rule 5 draft.

CODEPINK Protester: NRA Has Blood On Its Hands
CODEPINK Protester Medea Benjamin, who was forcibly removed from this morning's NRA press conference in Washington, D.C., told HuffPost Live Friday that NRA lobbyist Wayne LaPierre showed himself to be "unbelievably out of touch with the American people" when he called for armed guards in every school in the country.
"I think that he had a message that didn't resonate very well with the journalists in there, much less the American public," Benjamin told HuffPost Live hosts Alyona Minkovski and Jacob Soboroff.
Benjamin said that she went into the press conference with a protest banner but did not to use it because she thought the group would "express a lot of sympathy for the poor families" and "give in on something." But when LaPierre instead called for armed police or volunteers in schools, Benjamin stood, raised her sign and shouted "the NRA has blood on its hands" repeatedly before being removed from the room.
According to its website, CODEPINK is a "women-initiated grassroots peace and social justice movement working to end U.S. funded wars and occupations, to challenge militarism globally, and to redirect our resources into health care, education, green jobs and other life-affirming activities."

I have three employees ? me, myself, and I. Well, actually, I just had to let me go for sleeping on the job.
I?m all about efficiency.
I?ve got blogs and tweets scheduled weeks in advance, photoshop actions to take care of even the smallest repetitive tasks, and keyboard shortcuts to insert all manner of boilerplate response in my email.
But as much as I love efficiency, I just can?t agree with this cartoon.
