9:00 PM: KPTV reports on Sorella Stoute, a one-year-old girl who managed to buy a car on eBay while playing around with her father's smartphone. Paul Stoute says he plans to fix up the 1962 Austin-Healey Sprite Sorella got for $225 and give it back to his daughter on her 16th birthday.

8:45 PM: KVLY-TV reports on Addisyn Dietrich, a six-year-old Fargo, North Dakota girl who has set up a lemonade stand to raise money for Wigs For Kids, an organization that helps children who have suffered hair loss from cancer treatment and other medical issues.

8:30 PM: Indiana Hoosiers basketball coach Tom Crean made a surprise visit Tuesday to see Liza Angelicchio, a Morehead State University student who is battling leukemia.

8:15 PM: The Cincinnati Enquirer has the story of Jeff Crews, a Reds fan with a Stage 4 brain tumor who was able to witness both of Homer Bailey's no-hitters. Crews got to spend time pre-game with Reds player Joey Votto before passing away two days after the July 2 game.

8:00 PM: Dodgers player Skip Schumaker lost his appeal of his two-game suspension for his involvement in a June 11 brawl against the Diamondbacks. Schumaker will begin serving his suspension tonight.

7:45 PM: Texas Rangers pitcher Yu Darvish has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained trapezius muscle in his right shoulder.

7:30 PM: The Mets defeated the Giants 7-2 on Wednesday to clinch New York's first sweep in San Francisco since 1994.

7:15 PM: The NBA announces that Stu Jackson has stepped down as Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations, while Rod Thorn has been named President of Basketball Operations.

7:00 PM: Ole Miss basketball player Marshall Henderson was suspended indefinitely from the team Wednesday for reportedly failing a drug test. Henderson had previously failed drug tests in January 2012.

6:45 PM: A San Diego rec league soccer player was arrested on assault & battery charges for punching a referee in the face after getting a red card during a game in late May.

6:30 PM: The lights went out on the court near the end of Wednesday's NBA Summer League game between the Utah Jazz & Brooklyn Nets. Darkness fell with only 0.6 seconds left & the Jazz up 98-69.

6:15 PM: Donovan McNabb doesn't agree with the Detroit Lions signing QB Matt Stafford to a new five-year, $76.5 million deal: "Is he worth top 5 money? I would have to say no. And I say that because it's about wins and losses. What has he really done for the Detroit Lions? Nothing."

6:00 PM: The Boston Bruins announce that goalie Tuukka Rask has signed a new eight-year, $56 million contract to stay with the team.

5:45 PM: Former Denver Broncos center Tom Nalen wonders why the team didn't deal with Tom Heckert's DUI last month before Matt Russell got the same charges last weekend: "Maybe if the broncos were more proactive in dealing with heckert, russell doesn't get the DUI. Cowards."

5:30 PM: Hugh Kellenberger of the Jackson Clarion Ledger reports Ole Miss basketball player Marshall Henderson has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules.
